On this day, 28 March 1900, the Word of the Golden Stool begun.
The War of the Golden Stool was the name of the Ashanti rebellion against the British Army, whose “Governor of the Gold Coast” had demanded to sit on the Golden Stool.
The Gatekeeper of the Golden stool and the Queen Mother, Yaa Asantewaa led the War of the Golden Stool.
