Sharon J. Barnes is an American biologist, chemist and inventor. In 1991 she was a chemist at Dow Chemical Company where a year following the patent of the new application in Infrared Thermography Technology – “Process and apparatus for contactless measurement of sample temperature” – she became the laboratory director at Dow Chemical Company and clinical lab director in the Clinical Health Department.
Sharon J Barnes has been named Dow Texas Inventor and has received the Outstanding Scouter Award twice from Dow Chemical Company, and has been selected as one of the 50 Most Influential Blacks in Research by Engineer.com.
